Shop Bladder Accumulators

A bladder accumulator is a device in hydraulic systems that stores energy by holding pressurized hydraulic fluid. It uses a flexible bladder filled with gas, like nitrogen, to separate the fluid from the gas. When the system needs extra fluid, the gas compresses, and the stored fluid is released to keep everything running smoothly. Bladder accumulators are commonly used to maintain pressure, absorb shocks, and provide backup power. Never use air or oxygen to fill the gas side, as it can be dangerous—always use an inert gas like nitrogen. Regular maintenance and proper pre-charge are critical to safe operation.
