These fittings use a two-piece insert, which includes a ferrule—a metal or plastic component that compresses the hose tightly onto the fitting to create a secure, leak-proof connection. The difference between two-piece and one-piece fittings is that two-piece fittings consist of separate parts (the ferrule and fitting body), providing flexibility for installation and easier replacement, while one-piece fittings are pre-assembled, allowing for quicker installation.
