To achieve optimal performance, these fittings use XF1 or XF2 Interlock ferrules. The Z Series fittings, on the other hand, are specifically designed for Alfatech 6000 (AT6K) hoses in 2" size, also requiring internal and external skiving, and a ZF1 Interlock ferrule. A ferrule is a metal ring that tightly secures the hose to the fitting, providing a strong, leak-proof seal.
