Pneumatic valve island directional valves are specialized components used in pneumatic systems to control the direction of airflow. They are part of a compact assembly known as a valve island, which integrates multiple pneumatic valves into a single block or manifold. These directional valves regulate the flow of compressed air to various pneumatic actuators, such as cylinders or rotary actuators, enabling them to move in specific directions. Valve islands streamline pneumatic circuitry, reducing installation time and simplifying maintenance by providing a centralized solution for controlling multiple pneumatic functions within a system.
'Plug In' style valves all plug into a common wire way, and therefore make the electrical installation easier through a 25-pin D-Sub, Fieldbus or Ethernet option.
The Plug-in is easier to install and offers faster replacement of failed parts.
