The miniBOOSTER HC6D-G hydraulic intensifier, also called a hydraulic pressure booster, is a high-flow, dual-acting inline unit with direct proportional RV pressure control. Two alternating pump sections generate exceptionally high intensified flow, while the RV valve allows high-pressure output to be controlled proportionally from the low-pressure inlet side. HC6D-G boosters are available in two variants: the standard G Dynamic model, which provides low hysteresis and fast response for applications such as hydraulic braking, and the G-__ Fail-Safe model, which uses higher hysteresis to keep high pressure stable until inlet pressure falls below approximately 50% of normal working pressure. The fail-safe version is suited to offshore safety circuits and other applications requiring controlled pressure retention and release without trapped high pressure. The HC6D family offers nine intensification ratios from 1.2:1 to 8.2:1, inlet pressures from 20 to 207 bar (290 to 3,000 psi), outlet pressures up to 800 bar (11,600 psi), and intensified flow up to 65 L/min (17.2 GPM), depending on the selected ratio.
The HC6D-G provides proportionally controlled high pressure, rapid pressure buildup and exceptional flow capacity without requiring a separate high-pressure pump or control circuit. Applications include high-flow hydraulic braking, large presses and cylinders, heavy-duty clamping and workholding, pressure-testing equipment, mobile machinery, industrial automation and offshore safety systems. Warning: The Dynamic G model requires stable inlet pressure and a supply line with a minimum inside diameter of 5 mm. Unstable inlet pressure, undersized lines, excessive return backpressure or an incorrectly selected RV opening ratio can cause unreliable pressure control. The fail-safe G-__ variant must be specified for the application, with its RV opening ratio determined using qualified technical guidance. Never assume the high-pressure side has been relieved; verify zero pressure before service. All system and return-line components must be sized for the HC6D’s substantial flow and rated for the maximum possible intensified pressure. Installation must be performed by qualified hydraulic personnel.
