The miniBOOSTER HC6D-A hydraulic intensifier, also called a hydraulic pressure booster, is a high-flow, dual-acting inline unit that uses two alternating pump sections to convert an existing low-pressure hydraulic supply into higher outlet pressure. The HC6D-A is the A-model configuration without an integrated dump valve, so high pressure must be relieved externally, typically through a properly sized pilot-operated check valve. This configuration is especially useful with large-bore hydraulic cylinders that generate high return flow better handled outside the booster. The HC6D family offers nine intensification ratios from 1.2:1 to 8.2:1, accepts inlet pressures from 20 to 207 bar (290 to 3,000 psi), and produces outlet pressures up to 800 bar (11,600 psi). Depending on the selected ratio, it can deliver intensified flow up to 65 L/min (17.2 GPM) with inlet flow capacity up to 80 L/min (21.1 GPM). Applications include large hydraulic presses and cylinders, heavy-duty workholding and clamping, pressure testing, bolt tensioning, mobile machinery, construction equipment and high-production industrial systems.


The HC6D-A provides rapid pressure buildup and exceptionally high intensified flow without requiring a separate high-pressure pump or power unit, helping reduce system complexity, piping, equipment footprint and operating cost. It automatically stops intensifying when the required pressure is reached and restarts if pressure falls because of fluid consumption or leakage. Warning: The HC6D-A has no integrated dump valve or internal means of relieving trapped high pressure. The hydraulic circuit must include a correctly designed and appropriately sized external pressure-release method capable of handling the unit’s substantial return flow. Never assume the high-pressure side has been depressurized; confirm zero pressure with a properly rated gauge before service. Select the intensification ratio using maximum inlet pressure, return backpressure, required outlet pressure and flow demand, and ensure all hoses, fittings, valves, gauges, seals, manifolds and actuators are rated for the maximum possible intensified pressure. Installation must be performed by qualified hydraulic personnel.
