The miniBOOSTER HC3-B hydraulic intensifier, also called a hydraulic pressure booster, is a compact NG6 (D03) stacking-manifold unit that uses an existing low-pressure hydraulic supply to generate and maintain higher pressure at port A. The HC3-B is the B-model configuration with an integrated dump valve, allowing the high-pressure side to be relieved through the booster. When return port R is pressurized and inlet port IN is open to tank, pilot pressure opens the dump valve (DV), allowing fluid from the internal high-pressure side H to return to tank. Available HC3 intensification ratios range from 1.2:1 to 25:1, with inlet pressures from 20 to 207 bar (290 to 3,000 psi) and maximum outlet pressure up to 500 bar (7,250 psi), depending on the selected ratio. Applications include hydraulic workholding and clamping, machine tools, support cylinders, presses, pressure-testing equipment and industrial automation systems using NG6/D03 modular valves.
The HC3-B combines localized high-pressure generation and controlled depressurization within a compact valve stack, reducing external piping and eliminating the need for a separate high-pressure pump or external dump-valve assembly. It automatically stops intensifying when the required pressure is reached and restarts if pressure falls because of fluid consumption or leakage. Warning: The dump valve operates only when the circuit applies the required pilot pressure at port R while port IN is open to tank. Incorrect manifold routing, insufficient pilot pressure, return backpressure or trapped fluid can prevent proper depressurization. Never assume pressure has been released; verify zero pressure with an appropriately rated gauge before service. Select the proper intensification ratio and ensure the manifold, valves, seals, fittings, gauges and actuators are rated for the maximum possible outlet pressure. Installation must be performed by qualified hydraulic personnel.
