The miniBOOSTER HC2-A hydraulic intensifier, also called a hydraulic pressure booster, is a compact inline unit that converts an existing low-pressure hydraulic supply into higher outlet pressure. The HC2-A is the A-model configuration without an integrated dump valve, so high pressure must be relieved externally—typically using a properly sized pilot-operated check valve. This arrangement is especially useful when a large-bore hydraulic cylinder produces high return flow that would be better handled outside the booster. Available HC2 intensification ratios range from 1.2:1 to 25:1, with inlet pressure from 20 to 207 bar (290 to 3,000 psi) and maximum outlet pressure up to 800 bar (11,600 psi), depending on the selected ratio. Common applications include hydraulic workholding and clamping, machine tools, presses, large-bore cylinders, pressure-testing equipment, bolt tensioning, torque tools and industrial automation.
