On one side, the male JIC (Joint Industry Council) connection uses a 37-degree flare seating surface for a secure mechanical seal, while the female BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) connection features a flareless swivel with a tapered nose that creates a seal on the cone seat of the male connector. This design ensures a strong, leak-tight connection suitable for high-pressure fluid systems.
