Description
The Alfagomma Z-MAPI Two-Piece Fittings are straight, carbon steel hose end fittings designed to connect with API Male NPT threads. These fittings are part of the Z Series, specifically engineered for use with Alfatech 6000 (AT6K) hoses in the 2" size. Ferrules are metal rings that are used to secure the hose to the fitting, ensuring a leak-proof connection. The Z-MAPI fittings feature a two-piece interlock insert, which means the fitting is made up of two parts that interlock for easy assembly and replacement, offering more flexibility compared to one-piece fittings. One-piece fittings are solid and typically harder to maintain. The Z-MAPI fitting requires both internal and external skiving, a process that involves removing part of the hose to create a secure seal, and it must be paired with a ZF1 Interlock ferrule to ensure maximum performance and reliability in high-pressure applications.
