The Alfagomma Z-C62S Two-Piece Fittings are straight, carbon steel hose end fittings designed to connect to an O-ring flange (SAE J518 Code 62). These fittings are part of the Z Series, which are specifically engineered for use with Alfatech 6000 (AT6K) hoses in a 2" size. These fittings use a two-piece interlock system, meaning they consist of a fitting body and an insert, which are secured together for a reliable, leak-proof connection. Ferrules are small metal sleeves used to secure the hose to the fitting, providing a tight seal and preventing leaks. The difference between two-piece and one-piece fittings is that two-piece fittings are separable for easier maintenance and reusability, while one-piece fittings are permanent and typically not removable. The Z-C62S fittings require both internal and external skiving (a process to ensure the hose fits properly within the fitting) and a ZF1 Interlock ferrule for proper installation and performance, ensuring a high-quality connection suitable for high-pressure applications.
