Description

The Series VV-DV Desiccant Breather Dryer is a disposable solution designed to protect hydraulics, gears, storage tanks, and mobile machinery from moisture damage in dusty environments, while minimizing pressure build-up even with high air flows. Suitable for indoor, outdoor, and offshore use, it features a durable plastic housing filled with GIEBEL Xdry® desiccant and a 3μm filter to effectively dry and clean the incoming air. The breather includes check valves that open at approximately 6mbar, ensuring optimal air distribution over the desiccant while preventing unnecessary loading of the system. The activated carbon layer adsorbs oil mist to protect both the desiccant and the environment. The granulate’s 2-5mm grain size delivers excellent drying efficiency with minimal pressure buildup, achieving a residual air humidity of 2% rH and a dew point of -40°C. The disposable cartridge is replaced when saturated, with the GIEBEL Xdry silica gel turning green as an indicator, while the stable, frost-proof valve part remains in place for longer maintenance intervals.
