The Series FS6540-O Straight Female ORFS Swivel x Male ORB hydraulic adapters, made of durable carbon steel, combine two popular sealing technologies for medium to high-pressure hydraulic systems. ORB (SAE Straight Thread O-ring Boss) fittings feature a male straight UNF thread with an O-ring that forms a leak-tight seal when compressed against a flat, chamfered surface on the female fitting. The ORFS (O-ring Face Seal) side uses an O-ring seated in a groove on the face of the fitting, creating a secure seal when the O-ring is compressed between the fitting and the mating connection. These adapters, adhering to SAE J1453 standards, are commonly used in systems where reliable sealing is critical, offering robust performance with elastomeric seals made from Buna-N or Viton O-rings.
