Description
The HAWE CRV-22A Relief Valve is a ventable, pilot-operated balanced piston hydraulic cartridge relief valve engineered to provide stable pressure control, remote venting capability, and dependable overpressure protection in compact and medium-flow hydraulic systems. Designed for demanding mobile and industrial fluid power applications, the CRV-22A series features a balanced piston main stage with an external drain and integral 8A control cavity, delivering precise and efficient pressure regulation in hydraulic circuits requiring advanced pilot-operated relief functionality. Featuring a T-22A cavity design, operating pressures up to 350 bar (5,076 psi), and flow capacities up to 120 L/min, these hydraulic relief valves are ideal for hydraulic manifolds, mobile equipment, industrial machinery, hydraulic power units, and cross-port relief circuits requiring pilot-operated unloading and remote venting control. The HAWE CRV-22A series is available with multiple minimum control pressure spring options for both low-pressure and higher pressure-drop applications and is compatible with T-8A cavity pilot controls including CPRB-8A-2D and CRPA-8A-2D-74 configurations. Designed with fast typical response times of approximately 10 ms, low leakage characteristics, and balanced piston construction for stable operation, the CRV-22A valve series helps improve hydraulic efficiency, pressure stability, and overall system reliability in demanding operating environments. The valve is also designed to accept maximum pressure at port 2 for cross-port relief applications, while maintaining reliable pilot-operated performance when properly configured. Warning: Improper valve selection, pressure adjustment, installation, or hydraulic system integration may result in uncontrolled pressure conditions, hydraulic system failure, equipment damage, serious injury, or death. When used in cross-port relief applications, spool leakage should be considered during system design, and back pressure at port 4 increases pilot pressure at port 1 on a 1:1 ratio plus bias spring pressure. Pressure at port 4 must not exceed 350 bar. Always verify system compatibility, follow manufacturer installation torque specifications, ensure proper vent, drain, and pressure settings, and adhere to all hydraulic safety procedures before operation.
