Alfagomma A-BTTF Two-Piece Fittings are designed to securely connect hoses to tubing, providing a reliable, leak-proof seal for various fluid power applications. These fittings are made from carbon steel and feature a hose end that connects to a bite-type tube fitting, which works by "biting" into the tube to create a strong, permanent connection. The two-piece design consists of an insert (the fitting) and a ferrule (a metal sleeve that helps secure the hose), offering flexibility and ease of maintenance. These fittings are ideal for wire and textile braided hoses, thermoplastic hoses, Flexor 4, and PTFE hoses, with sizes ranging from ³⁄₁₆" to 2" ID, as well as Alfabiotech 3000 (1 ¼" and 1 ½") and Alfabiotech 4000 (³⁄₈" thru 1 ¼") hoses, including smaller ID spiral wire reinforced hoses. The difference between a two-piece and one-piece fitting is that a two-piece fitting requires assembly, which makes it easier to install and maintain, while a one-piece fitting is a single unit. Ferrules, the metal collars that are placed over the hose and fitting, ensure a secure and leak-free connection.
