Description
Super Swivels 90-Degree Standard Pressure Male Pipe (NPTF) x Female JIC Swivel Nut hydraulic swivels provide free rotation on one axis while creating a compact right-angle change in the fluid path. The male NPTF connection installs directly into a compatible female pipe port, while the female JIC swivel nut seals against a compatible 37-degree male flare. The full-flow design reduces hose-line complexity and bend radius, allowing hoses and piping to move more freely while helping prevent twisting, kinking, shock damage, and premature hose failure. A heavy-duty ball-bearing race withstands side loads to minimize internal seal wear and leakage, while the NPTF-to-JIC configuration eliminates the need for a separate adapter. Available configurations include male NPTF sizes from 1/4" through 1-1/2" and JIC sizes from -4 through -24, with maximum working pressures from 3,500 to 4,500 PSI depending on size.
Warning: Select the correct swivel size and seal material for the system fluid, temperature, operating pressure, and application. Never exceed the maximum pressure specified for the individual part number. Depressurize the hydraulic system before installation, inspection, or service; escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury. Apply compatible hydraulic thread sealant only to the male NPTF connection, keeping excess sealant away from the fluid passage. Do not apply pipe-thread sealant or sealing tape to the JIC swivel nut, which seals at the 37-degree flare. Keep all flare surfaces clean and undamaged, avoid overtightening, and replace any swivel that is worn, damaged, or leaking.
