Description
The Series 6402-O Straight Male ORB x Female JIC Swivel hydraulic adapters combine the reliability of ORB and JIC fittings for medium to high-pressure hydraulic systems. ORB fittings, commonly made from carbon, nickel-plated carbon, or stainless steel, feature a straight UNF thread with an O-ring that creates a leak-tight seal when compressed into a chamfered surface on the female port. This design, commonly used in accordance with NFPA guidelines, is ideal for preventing leaks. On the other hand, JIC fittings have a 37-degree flare seating surface with parallel threads, providing a secure mechanical connection when the male flared fitting mates with the female coned seat. This combination of ORB and JIC fittings ensures durable, leak-free performance in various hydraulic applications, while also offering the convenience of reusable components. The adapters are typically constructed from durable carbon steel for long-lasting strength and reliability.
