These adapters combine heavy-duty DIN and BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) fitting styles. The DIN fitting features a 24° tapered throat angle inside the male threads, with a tube nut that tightens over the metric threads, compressing a ferrule or cutting ring to create a secure seal. This style is ideal for heavy-duty applications. The BSPP male connection, similar to the NPSM male, uses a metal-to-metal seal or a combination of metal and O-ring, providing a captive seal when mated with the female swivel BSPP fitting, which has a tapered nose flareless swivel.
