The Series 2404-LL-SS Straight Male JIC x Male NPT Extra Long hydraulic adapters, crafted from high-quality stainless steel, are designed to provide enhanced connectivity in hydraulic systems, featuring a longer overall length compared to the standard 2404 and 2404-L Series. These adapters incorporate a male JIC (Joint Industry Council) end, utilizing a 37-degree flare seating surface and parallel threads, as defined by SAE J514, which are essential for creating reliable hydraulic connections in fluid power systems. The seal is established by contact between the male flared seat and the female coned seat, resulting in a robust mechanical connection. On the other end, the male NPT (National Pipe Taper) connection employs tapered threads to effectively seal pipes for fluid and gas transfer through thread deformation, forming a strong metal-to-metal connection. The nominal pipe size can be identified by measuring the thread diameter and subtracting 1/4".
