Description
The Series 2404-B Straight Male JIC x Male NPT hydraulic adapters, crafted from high-quality brass, are essential fittings designed to provide secure and efficient connections in hydraulic systems. These adapters feature a male JIC (Joint Industry Council) end, utilizing a 37-degree flare seating surface and parallel threads as defined by SAE J514, which are commonly found in fluid power applications. The seal is achieved by establishing contact between the male flared seat and the female coned seat, resulting in a robust mechanical connection. On the other end, the male NPT (National Pipe Taper) connection employs tapered threads to effectively seal pipes for fluid and gas transfer through thread deformation, ensuring a strong metal-to-metal seal. The nominal pipe size can be easily identified by measuring the thread diameter and subtracting 1/4". While NPT connections are ideal for single assembly applications, they are not recommended for frequent disassembly due to potential wear on the threads. These brass adapters are perfect for professionals seeking reliable and durable hydraulic solutions across various applications, ensuring optimal performance and safety in fluid transfer systems.
