Description
The Series 1502 90-Degree Angled Female NPTF x Female NPSM Swivel elbow adapters are high-performance carbon steel fittings designed to provide secure, leak-free connections in hydraulic and fluid power systems. These adapters feature a 90-degree angle, making them ideal for routing hoses and pipes in tight or confined spaces. One end is equipped with female NPTF (National Pipe Tapered Fuel) threads, which create a leak-proof seal through thread deformation, commonly used in fluid power systems for high-pressure applications. The other end features female NPSM (National Pipe Straight Mechanical) threads, which use a straight thread and a 30° inverted seat to create a seal through compression on the male component's chamfer. The swivel feature allows for flexible installation, making it easier to adjust the adapter as needed. NPTF and NPSM connections are often used together, as an NPTF male can also seal with an NPSM female connection when properly chamfered.
