BSPP male connections are comparable to NPSM male fittings, though they have different thread pitches and are not interchangeable with American NPSM. The female BSPP swivel fitting features a tapered nose and flareless swivel, where the seal occurs on the cone seat of the male connector. Thread sizes are typically expressed as fractional dimensions with "G" representing parallel threads, such as G 1/4 for BSPP 1/4-19.
