Series SS5002L Straight Male Light Duty DIN x Male BSPP hydraulic adapters, made from durable stainless steel with an elastomeric seal, provide a reliable connection for fluid power systems. These adapters combine DIN Tube fittings, designed to ISO 8434-1 / DIN 2353 standards, with BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) male connections. The DIN Tube fittings feature a 24° tapered throat for secure tube connections, while the BSPP male threads offer a parallel thread design. The elastomeric seal is created when the O-ring, seated into the fitting's groove, compresses against the flat face of the mating BSPP fitting or formed tube. This ensures a leak-tight connection, especially in high-pressure systems. BSPP connections are similar to NPSM but have distinct thread pitches and dimensions, making them non-interchangeable. Thread sizes are denoted with "G" for parallel threads, such as BSPP 1/4-19 (G 1/4). Thread sealants are recommended to secure these connections effectively.
