Shop Inline Male JIC - Female NPTF Live Swivels
Super Swivels Male JIC (37-degree) x Female Pipe (NPTF) inline hydraulic swivels provide a compact, straight-through rotating transition between a JIC 37-degree flare connection and a male NPTF pipe-threaded hose end or fitting. Their one-piece barrel-and-stem construction and integrated ball-bearing race minimize rotational friction while withstanding heavy side loads, helping reduce hose twisting, kinking, premature seal wear, leaks, system shock, and downtime. Unlike a standard hydraulic adapter—which creates a fixed transition between connection types—a live hydraulic swivel allows repeated hose movement during operation. By combining the JIC-to-NPTF transition and rotating joint in one component, this design can eliminate additional adapters, reducing connection points, installation space, and overall hydraulic system cost.
Male JIC x Female NPTF inline swivels are available in multiple sizes with zinc or nickel plating, several seal options, and model-specific maximum working pressures from 3,000 to 5,000 PSIG. Always confirm the selected part number’s JIC and NPTF sizes, pressure rating, seal material, fluid compatibility, and operating temperature. Do not exceed the rated pressure, and fully depressurize the system before installation or service. A flexible connector is required at one end; Super Swivels are not recommended for breathing air, oxygen, or steam service. The installer is responsible for determining California Proposition 65 compliance.

- Carbon Steel Nickel (NI) Plating is recommended for mildly corrosive environments, i.e. water, mild chemicals, solvents, etc.
- (V) Viton (Fluorocarbon) – For most petroleum based applications. (-15ºF to 250ºF)
- (AL) Aflas (Tetrafluoroethylene-propylene copolymer) – Better resistance to chemicals. For service in high temperature environments. (+32ºF to 400ºF)
- (ETP) Extreme Viton – High resistance to many individual chemicals. (-6ºF to 437ºF).
