Shop 9037 Straight Male NPT - Female BSPP
The Adaptall Series 9037 Straight Male NPT x Female BSPP rigid hydraulic adapters, made from carbon steel, are used to connect hydraulic systems with different types of thread connections. NPT (National Pipe Tapered) connections feature tapered threads that form a metal-to-metal seal by causing the threads to deform when tightened, making them ideal for permanent assemblies, but not suited for frequent disassembly due to wear. BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) male connections, commonly used for hydraulic systems, feature parallel threads and use a metal-to-metal seal or an O-ring for leak prevention. These adapters are commonly used to join NPT and BSPP fittings, with thread sealants recommended for ensuring a secure, leak-proof connection in the system.
