Our Series 9036 Straight Male BSPP x Female ORB hydraulic adapters are made from durable carbon steel and designed to connect a British Standard Pipe Parallel (BSPP) male fitting to an SAE Straight Thread O-ring Boss (ORB) female fitting, commonly used in medium and high-pressure hydraulic systems. BSPP and NPT connections share similarities but differ in thread pitch, diameter, and form, requiring thread sealants for secure connections. The ORB connection, recommended by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for leak prevention, uses a straight thread and an O-ring to create a leak-tight seal. The male BSPP adapter is compatible with the ORB female adapter, where the O-ring compresses into a chamfer on the female port's surface to ensure a secure, high-quality seal.
