Our Series 9032S Straight Male BSPT x Female BSPP Swivel hydraulic adapters are designed to connect a BSPT (British Standard Pipe Tapered) male threaded component to a BSPP (British Standard Pipe Parallel) female threaded port. These adapters feature a swivel design on the female BSPP side, which allows for easier installation by letting the female component rotate while staying securely attached to the male thread. The BSPT male threads are tapered, which means they seal by compressing and distorting the threads, ensuring a tight, leak-proof connection. The BSPP female threads are parallel, and sealing is enhanced with a combination of metal-to-metal surfaces or an O-ring. Since BSPT and BSPP threads differ slightly from the NPT standards, thread sealants are recommended to ensure a secure connection. BSPT male adapters are compatible with both BSPP and BSPT female ports, making them versatile for hydraulic systems.
