Shop 90-Degree Male NPTF - Male ORFS Live Swivels
Super Swivels 90-Degree Standard Pressure Male Pipe (NPTF) x Male Face Seal (MFS) hydraulic swivels provide free rotation on one axis while creating a compact right-angle change in the fluid path. The male NPTF connection installs directly into a compatible female pipe port, while the male O-ring face seal—also called an ORFS connection—provides dependable, leak-resistant sealing at the hose connection. The full-flow design reduces hose-line complexity and bend radius, allowing hoses and piping to move more freely while helping prevent twisting, kinking, shock damage, and premature hose failure. A heavy-duty ball-bearing race withstands side loads to minimize internal seal wear and leakage, while the NPTF-to-MFS configuration eliminates the need for a separate adapter. Available configurations include male NPTF sizes from 1/4" through 1-1/2" and male face seal sizes from -6 through -24, with maximum working pressures from 4,000 to 5,000 PSI depending on size.
Warning: Select the correct swivel size and seal material for the system fluid, temperature, operating pressure, and application. Never exceed the maximum pressure specified for the individual part number. Depressurize the hydraulic system before installation, inspection, or service; escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury. Apply compatible hydraulic thread sealant only to the male NPTF connection, keeping excess sealant away from the fluid passage. Do not apply pipe-thread sealant or sealing tape to the male face seal connection. Verify that the face-seal O-ring and sealing surfaces are clean, undamaged, properly seated, and compatible with the hydraulic fluid. Avoid overtightening and replace any swivel that is worn, damaged, or leaking.

- Carbon Steel Zinc (Z) Plating is recommended for non-corrosive applications, i.e. hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
- Carbon Steel Nickel (NI) Plating is recommended for mildly corrosive environments, i.e. water, mild chemicals, solvents, etc.
- (V) Viton (Fluorocarbon) – For most petroleum based applications. (-15ºF to 250ºF)
- (AL) Aflas (Tetrafluoroethylene-propylene copolymer) – Better resistance to chemicals. For service in high temperature environments. (+32ºF to 400ºF)
- (ETP) Extreme Viton – High resistance to many individual chemicals. (-6ºF to 437ºF).
