Shop 90-Degree Male JIC - Female ORB Live Swivels
Super Swivels 90-Degree Standard Pressure Male JIC x Female O-Ring Boss (ORB) hydraulic swivels provide free rotation on one axis while creating a compact right-angle change in the fluid path. The male JIC connection uses a 37-degree flare for a dependable metal-to-metal seal, while the female SAE O-ring boss connection provides reliable, leak-resistant sealing for high-pressure hydraulic service. The full-flow design reduces hose-line complexity and bend radius, allowing hoses to move more freely while helping prevent twisting, kinking, shock damage, and premature hose failure. A heavy-duty ball-bearing race withstands side loads to minimize internal seal wear and leakage, and the JIC-to-ORB configuration connects directly to compatible hydraulic lines without additional adapters. Available configurations include JIC sizes from -4 through -20 and female ORB sizes from -6 through -20, with maximum working pressures from 4,000 to 5,000 PSI depending on size.
Warning: Select the correct swivel size and seal material for the system fluid, temperature, operating pressure, and application. Never exceed the maximum pressure specified for the individual part number. Depressurize the hydraulic system before installation, inspection, or service; escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury. Do not apply pipe-thread sealant or sealing tape to either connection. Keep the JIC flare surfaces clean and undamaged, and verify that the ORB sealing surfaces and O-ring are clean, properly seated, undamaged, and compatible with the hydraulic fluid. Avoid overtightening and replace any swivel that is worn, damaged, or leaking.

- Carbon Steel Zinc (Z) Plating is recommended for non-corrosive applications, i.e. hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.
- Carbon Steel Nickel (NI) Plating is recommended for mildly corrosive environments, i.e. water, mild chemicals, solvents, etc.
- (V) Viton (Fluorocarbon) – For most petroleum based applications. (-15ºF to 250ºF)
- (AL) Aflas (Tetrafluoroethylene-propylene copolymer) – Better resistance to chemicals. For service in high temperature environments. (+32ºF to 400ºF)
- (ETP) Extreme Viton – High resistance to many individual chemicals. (-6ºF to 437ºF).
