Shop 8000 Straight Male BSPP - Male BSPP Nipple, Brass
Series 8000 Straight Male BSPP x Male BSPP Nipple hydraulic adapters, made of nickel-plated brass, feature British Standard Pipe Parallel (BSPP) threads, designed for leak-resistant connections in hydraulic systems. BSPP connections are similar to NPT but differ in thread pitch, outer dimensions, and thread form. Sealing is achieved by slightly distorting the threads, and thread sealants are recommended for securing these fittings. A captive seal is created using metal-to-metal angled surfaces or a combination of metal-to-metal and an O-ring. The female swivel BSPP connector has a tapered nose flareless swivel, creating a secure seal with the male connector's cone seat. BSPP threads are often denoted with "G" (parallel thread) and are not interchangeable with NPT or NPSM. For reliable performance and a secure connection, thread sizes should be carefully matched, with BSPP fittings providing an efficient solution for medium to high-pressure hydraulic systems.
